Directions
- Prepare Nut Filling
Finely chop walnuts and mix with a little sugar and cinnamon.
- Layer Phyllo
Butter a baking dish. Layer sheets of phyllo, brushing each layer with melted butter. After several layers, sprinkle with nut mixture. Repeat.
- Bake and Syrup
Cut into diamonds before baking. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes. Pour cooled syrup over hot baklava.
